With Euro 2020 in the back mirror, attention is not focused on preseason soccer and a return to club action. With that in mind, brands have been unleashing their latest silos, looking to grab market attention and highlight all the great new tech specs they have on offer. It is a race to capture as many fans as possible!
Pretty much every brand has something new on offer, so we figured now would be a good time to compile all the latest releases in one place, with some details on what makes each so special.
adidas X Speedflow+
If you are looking for a boot built for speed, adidas has introduced their latest release; X Speedflow+ and its new propulsion, directional and upper system. adidas has looked at ways to enhance overall support by evolving the X Ghosted with an updated the upper design and adding an AG specific option for players to take advantage of.
The result is a dynamic boot that will excel through intense, instantaneous directional changes. In terms of tech specs, you still get a form fitting, lightweight PrimeKnit upper that provides an adaptive fit, designed for intuitive players that need to react quickly.

Nike Tiempo Legend 9
Total comfort and control is what the Nike Tiempo Legend range has always been known for. Now fans of the more traditional style silo have a ninth generation to check out, what is the lightest Tiempo released to date. It is a redesigned plate and refined upper that combine to help reduce the boot’s weight down to just 7.3 oz.
Immediately fan attention has focused on how these have a very CTR360 style design, bringing back a wave of nostalgia for what was a fan favorite. And maybe that played on the minds of the Nike design team, as they looked to incorporate some key elements from the former control boot.
Already, there are 2 versions of Legend 9 available, both found HERE.
Puma ULTRA 1.3
Puma are changing things up with the release of ULTRA 1.3, their next generation of speed boot. For the first time, they are introducing a Unisex and Women-specific fit as PUMA shows its commitment to pushing the game forward and further supporting the Women’s game.
This is a move that really does mark a huge step forward! Both versions feature a re-engineered lightweight MATRYXEVO woven upper featuring technical Carbon yarns and transparent Mono yarns. The new upper combines with a brand new SPEEDCAGE to create multilayered support for rapid movement. The upper features cut-out transparent windows in the mid foot to further reduce weight making the ULTRA 1.3 even lighter than the ULTRA 1.2.
Both mens and womens versions are available at SOCCER.com.
