Nike finally launch the CR7 Superfly “Spark Positivity” that Cristiano Ronaldo had been wearing through the Euros. We have talked about them several times over the past few weeks, and were left a little puzzled as to why they hadn’t yet been officially released. The turned to perplexed this morning, as Nike gave them a soft launch AFTER Ronaldo and Portugal had been knocked out of the tournament.
One of the biggest showpiece Summer events, and Nike didn’t introduce the boot their key player was wearing until he was eliminated? How does this one make any sense from a marketing perspective? No press release, no story behind the design, no short film showcasing the boots. The best we got was a single picture from CR7 himself, announcing their availability on the 28th.
Either way, a limited edition version of the boot – along with several other takedown models – are now available.
This is a boot and design that follows the CR7 story and continues a long line of successful Mercurial releases. Built using Chile Red and Ice White as the key colorway, you also get some Solar Orange detailing and a signature double swoosh along the outer forefoot. CR7’s version also featured some key customization, like his kids name along the instep and a slightly lower ankle cut.

One of the greatest impacts I can have is to on and off the field.
With the CR7 Nike Mercurial Superfly “Spark Positivity”, I hope kids are inspired to chase their dreams.
