Puma has added an extra option to their FUTURE 18.1 series by creating a low-cut version that offers players a more traditional fit and feel on foot. If you like a looser, unrestricted feel through the ankle, this version of the boot is probably right for you. It is labelled the PUMA FUTURE 18.1 NetFit Low.
What I really like about the FUTURE 18 series is how Puma has kept them priced extremely competitively. Where other brands have created a substantial price difference in collared boots, things are a lot more simplified here. There is a minimal $20 difference between the collared version ($219.99) and the low cut version ($199.99).
What makes these boots so different is the introduction of a revolutionary new upper system called NETFIT. Using the laces and what is essentially a net that runs around the upper of the boot, you can customize your fit however you need for best stability, support, and lockdown.
The lacing system is there to be experimented with, to adapt to your fit specifications, whether wide or narrow footed, and give you the ultimate lock-down.
