Ronaldo Gets Mercurial Campeões – CR7 X Portugal

When it comes to creating custom boots for Cristiano Ronaldo, Nike need little reason to unleash a new pair. Given his status as arguably the most influential players in the world right now, the swoosh has created another special edition release for CR7, this one as an international only boot.

Welcome in the CR7 Mercurial Campeoes, a boot released in celebration of Portugal’s Euro 2016 championship. The boots feature Portugal’s signature Red and Green team colors, flip them over and you will find a golden soleplate added to upgrade the color effect. A unique heel counter and sockliner further celebrate Ronaldo’s national pride.

In all seriousness, these could be one of the most bad-ass colorways created on a boot by Nike in a long time. But there is significant bad news for those falling for this design; they are NOT going to be available at retail. Yes, Nike teased us all with this design only to announce they were created specifically for CR7 only.
