adidas has dropped an out of this world set of releases as part of their Limited Collection. Both the X16+ PURECHAOS and ACE 16+ PURECONTROL are launched as a “Space Craft” pack. With only 1000 pairs released, the Space Craft boots’ gold and black treatment is designed to represent reflective spacecraft material juxtaposed against the darkness of space.
What makes these boots more unique is the fact they both feature a leather forefoot. It makes for a unique contrast from heel to the tip of the boot with a shinnier, polished gold effect running from midfoot to heel and a more rustic brushed gold layered along the leather forefoot. An entire polished look across the boot would have been more effective, but to do that adidas would have had to eliminate the leather upper.
Everything else tech wise is as you’d expect;
- The X16+ PURECHAOS features a DYNAMIC TECHFIT COMPRESSION, a NON STOP GRIP (NSG) finish and TECHFIT lacing system to provide a glove-like fit – designed for the player who causes chaos on the pitch.
- The ACE 16+ PURECONTROL is for the player who takes control of a match, featuring a PURECUT upper to create an uninterrupted striking surface and a lightweight SPRINTFRAME to provide unparalleled levels of stability.
These colorways are welcome additions to the super exclusive adidas Limited Collection, adding a signature look on both boots that we haven’t see to date. But with only 1000 pairs released worldwide, expect them to sell out real quickly. You will need to act fast once they are officially released if you want to secure a pair.
