Nike Tiempo Ronaldinho Returns – “Touch of Gold”

This is a boot that a lot of people have been waiting for – and for good reason! On September 2, Nike are set to release an exquisitely updated, limited edition version of the Tiempo Legend. This one, labelled “Touch of Gold”, is set to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the video that made its predecessor famous. The new boot pays homage to the Nike Air Legend Tiempo that was released in 2005 via “Crossbar,” the first YouTube video to garner a million views.

Without having to detail too much, I’d imagine most of you already know who these boots are intended to honor. Ronaldinho is one of the all time signature Nike athletes and we applaud the introduction of this boot.

Much like the original, Tiempo “Touch of Gold” features an all-white upper with exquisite golden accents and branding that honor Ronaldinho. The new version includes a gradient treatment on the modern style sole plate, transitioning from a clean white forefoot to a golden heel. Ronaldinho’s name spreads across both sole plates in the forefoot, split to create an intricate visual effect.

Flip the boot over and you are immediately met by that iconic Tiempo tongue with a signature R10 logo labelled perfectly in place.

These boots are a thing of beauty and there is no doubt that this is a boot set to sell out fast. Only 3,000 pairs of the Tiempo Legend “Touch of Gold” have been made and will be released worldwide. Each is individually numbered on the lateral side of the heel, so players will know exactly which pair they have in hand.
