Everyone has a Boot Story – This is Mine!

There are a while bunch of cool folk in the online soccer world, specializing in all different categories of the game. When it comes to culture and highlighting the role soccer has in the broader scheme of things, there is none better than the guys over at The Original Winger. We have had a close connection for the past several years, highlighted by the Gear Show that Ben and myself had an opportunity to shoot together. The opportunity to do another collaboration was too good to turn down, so we now have a fresh series labelled “A Boot Story” for you guys to check out.

The concept is simple – everyone has their own unique affiliation with a particular boot or brand, and in that there are sure to be emotional connections that tie you with a particular space in time. It is part of your growth in the game and that is absolutely worth sharing with others. Over the coming weeks, we will be bringing you some personal stories from people involved in the game, and why they connected with their boots.

To kick start it all, I shared my story first. It runs through my college experience and into life as a pro player, during which point I actually wore the same boots in 3 pretty significant finals.
