Argentinian Carloz Tevez had the opportunity to send a message to Sir Alex Ferguson last Wednesday night.
And boy did he! It was Tevez first chance to shine in several weeks, a Carling Cup game with Blackburn. And he didn’t disappointed! Sporting the brand new white/white/anthracite Nike Air Legend II cleat, Tevez tore Blackburn apart, scoring 4 goals in thee process! It has been a difficult time at Old Trafford for Carlitos since the arrival of Berbatov this summer. His frustration at not getting time can be understood. He scored the first goal in the 2-1 loss to Liverpool earlier in the season, and found himself substituted even though strike partner Berbatov was non existent in the game. Then there is Wayne Rooney’s strange form; great for country, dismal for club. But Tevez found himself getting minimal minutes in the past several games. He took advantage of this start, scoring 1 goal in the first and 3 in the second. No doubt Sir Alex will have taken note of Tevez performance, and will have his name in mind for the starting 11 versus Sunderland this weekend.
Tevez looked good in the White Nike Air Legend II cleats. The cleats will not be released until early next year, but no doubt they will be popular if he keeps banging in the goals with them. The Air Legend II range are made with super soft Kangaroo leather, and are super refined as the classic cleat designed for the simple yet stylish player. Renowned for its legendary ball control, the cleat is worn by the likes of Joe Cole, Cesc Fabregas, Ruud Van Nistelrooy and Andrea Pirlo. The cleats run normal in size and weigh in at 11oz.
The cleats are currently available in several different styles in the US.
