Given the fact the Puma evoPOWER has received rave reviews since their introduction, it was only a matter of time before the Cat introduced their leather version. The initial release featured an upper constructed of AdapLite, a premium one-way stretchable microfiber. Coupled with the Gradual Stability Frame (GSF) spine, it provided a totally new type of performance.
This Leather version of the evoPOWER is vastly different since it is not designed to replicate the unique stretch in both directions found on the AdapLite version. This is less advanced technology and more about standard performance. You do, however, still get a layered Accu-Foam insert located on the upper that creates a smooth and flat kicking surface on impact.

Then there is the classic Blackout design, of which I am a big fan. These boots look awesome, a lot better than the images online portray them. In fact, I have a feeling a lot of other images show the boots in a much larger size than these 9US. You can see how much definition there is in through the strike-zone, and it is tough to get a thorough feel for it without seeing them in person.
Yes, I am ultra excited to get these into testing, something that I won’t admit a lot. The top quality performance of the original evoPOWER release coupled with the awesome Blackout design makes these a top choice in my opinion – although I will still reserve full judgement until I have guided them through several games!

This review should be coupled with the Puma evoSpeed 1.2L review. When is that coming by the way?
can't wait for the review!
Looking forward to your full review. I'm a long time Puma King fan, but the latest Kings were a let down for me. I'm hoping the evoPOWER Leather will feel and perform similar to the Kings of years passed.
Would you get a size smaller or half size because of leather?
I normally weat an 8 and I ordered both 8 and 8.5. I like my boots nice and snug and found the 8.5 to be a little long at the toe. The 8 seemed a little too narrow at first but after a few hours the leather is stretching nicely. If you don't like a really tight snug fit I would go up 1/2 size I think a full size jump would add too much length to the boot.
