One question I almost always ask my self as I’m fantasizing about the perfect boots for the upcoming season is the question of customization. Is it worth the price? Should I add a flag? My name or a family members? These are but a sampling of the questions that run through my head in the customization debate I constantly have with myself.
In my mind its about finding a balance between not having your boot look like a wall full of graffiti, and making the boots feel like they are your own. Check out some pictures of what the pros are doing to the latest releases, including Nike’s HI-VIS collection and let me know what you think.
Buffon elected to combine his name with his record number of caps on the latest Puma King. While the idea is simple, there’s no debating who’s boots these are in the locker room.
Among the simplest of customization work I have seen, Frank Lampard gave a one word shout-out to his mother on this version of the Adidas Adipure 11Pro.
The Hi-Vis releases from Nike have already begun to invade around the world, and Spain is no different. Sergio Ramos added a little Spanish flair to his initials, number, and family members name on this Nike Tiempo Legend IV.
Germany’s latest product to star in England has gotten off to quite the hot start. Ozil’s personal addition to the latest colorway of the Adidas Predator LZ II looks sharp.
Obviously all of these customization options are not available to everyone, but these days it is possible to add text, numbers and a flag of your choosing at many of the major online retailers.
So I ask again, what would you do to your boots given the opportunity to put whatever you like on them?
I like to customize m boots but I can never find a good site to do that one.
