Puma are no strangers to adding a coat of Pink on their boots, case in point this latest evoSPEED 1.2 release. Officially listed as a Azalea Pink/Black, this is another and they are sure to grab some serious attention in playing circles. Over the past few years, we have seen a similar shade used previously on both the evoSPEED and V-series of boots, with those releases hitting the market around October (and Project Pink). This version comes a little bit earlier in the release, offering players a pretty shade right in the middle of summer!
As Pink releases go, I actually think that Puma has got it right with these and they do have some serious pop. Showing up to a game with a pair is another thing, and you have to expect some heckling if you do! The one stand out design feature is again that Puma hit that sits along the instep, it doesn’t provide any performance characteristics – it is simply there to showcase the fact that this is a Puma release.

The evoSPEED is designed to do exactly what its name states – offer players an extra level of speed on the pitch. Actually, they won’t offer you an extra level unless you are willing to take on the lightweight 7.0oz frame and push yourself a little harder. It is a very minimal boot that has the ability to improve acceleration while offering solid traction on take off.
Along the inner lining of the boots, Puma use an EverFit cage. Since the synthetic upper is so thin, it provides some extra strength and durability through wear.
