I have to admit, this could be one of the better looking Diadora colorway releases we have seen a while. The Black/White design is pretty minimal but it works so effectively on the Diadora Evoluzione K upper. We have actually seen some funky colorways in the range this far, so going back to a basic White upper makes for a refreshing and effective strategy.
Having had the opportunity to test the 9.0oz heritage release, I can tell you that the entire package delivers on performance. The boots are very comfortable, provide plenty of protection and cover the requirements of an all-around boot.
In terms of retail, and I guess a positive aspect of this boot, is the price point. Right now you can pick up a pair for $129.99 on soccer.com. They are a definite value for money option if you are in the market for something that is not a top brand release.
The Diadora Evoluzione K Pro is a boot that mixes a traditional upper with an unmistakeable, attention grabbing look. Right through the testing process, many players approached me with the same “what the heck are those things?” type of look. And in typical Diadora fashion, comfort continues to dominate in an otherwise simple and uncomplicated boot!
There is nothing that stands out about them, but that is not necessarily a bad thing, instead they are simply consistent. Technically, the yellow design along the front is supposed to add some an extra control element – realistically I don’t think there is enough coverage in the region for it to be effective. Because of the K-Leather upper it is not technically needed.
Is this a design that appeals to you, or do you even like what Diadora has done with the Evoluzione?
Have to agree with you on the design! very nice
