Under Armour 10K Force Pro II Released

UA 10k Force

Under Armour welcome a new boot to the market in the form of the lightweight 10K Force Pro II. The concept behind this release is simple – they are a comfortable, speed boot that combines the traction and precision for on-field perfection with the foot-forming cushioning of a running shoe.

Kicking things off, UA offer us a White/Midnight Navy/High-Vis Yellow colorway. It comes together as a very unique looking boot, with the paneling on the side creating an unmistakeable look. On field, they have something that will differentiate them from other boots, which in theory is a very smart move by UA. I like the use of Yellow detailing on the edges of the Nazy regions – it adds dimension and a very modern look.

Retail wise, this new boot will hit the market with a $179.99 price-tag. Your obviously going to want to be sure that theses are the boots for you before splashing out on a pair.

So, what exactly does this boot have to offer and how do they compare to UA other speed boot, the Blur? There are a few areas of technology that UA specifically highlight including:

  • CompFit – Innovative fit system through the inside of the boot that allows for player’s freedom of movement while keeping the foot secure.
  • MatchControl – Dimensional grid pattern along the microfiber upper that maximizes touch for pinpoint passing, evasive dribbling, and deadly accurate shots on goal.
  • UA 4D Foam – UA’s molded 4D Foam forms to the foot, provides internal traction, optimal comfort and reduces stud pressure.
  • Micro G – UA’s proprietary light and low cushioning innovation provides additional support and responsiveness on the bottom layer of the footbed.
  • CoreSpeed – Redesigned soleplate that enhances the foot’s natural ability to accelerate, dart in any direction, and flex in a lightweight, stable chassis. Built from lightweight pebax for optimal use on all surfaces.

Weight wise, they hit the 7.7oz mark, which is the lightest release we have seen to date from UA. In reality, is a move that the company probably needed to make in order to push into the mainstay market. There is a lot to take in on this boot, so the true test will be getting a pair to review. I haven’t been heavily impressed with UA releases to date, but I’m still interested in finding out what these have to offer!
