It has been a while since we last saw a release in the Umbro Stealth 2 Pro series, but finally there is a new colorway – this one coming in a White/Black/High Risk Red. Umbro seem to have moved to a more conservative look with this release, choosing a combo of classic colors rather than splashing wild colors onto the high performing boot. Keeping things simple sometimes works best, and I feel like these will appeal to a specific audience.
I was getting slightly concerned with the range in recent times, as it seemed like Umbro had pulled them off the market at one point. Since release, finding a pair for review has proved very difficult but I am glad to see this new colorway is readily available. Again, we have seen a minimal advertising campaign, but having been exposed to the excruciating “fox or chicken” campaign, it actually feels like a positive move! In all honestly, I like the release a lot and am currently seeking a pair for testing.
In terms of upgrade, the biggest one you will find on this release lies in the upper of the boot, with Umbro choosing to include a K-leather this time around. In my opinion, this is a great addition to a boot that tested impressively well first time around. The leather has been formed/riveted to improve touch and enhance power on contact.
This current colorway retails for $140, and I hope to have a review in the coming weeks.
I don’t think these are new… A teammate has had these since August
