PUMA has teamed up with London boutique Liberty to create a new PUMA x LIBERTY collection, which explores the flowery camouflages and floral artistry found in the famed Soho shop. The collection includes national team Home kits as well as limited edition FUTURE 1.4 LIBERTY and ULTRA ULTIMATE LIBERTY boots, in women’s specific fits. It is the latter we want to focus on, seeing as they have already made their debut at the Euro 2022.
Liberty revamped the dynamic ULTRA 1.4 with a decadent floral arrangement, and the final result is these artistic ULTRA ULTIMATE LIBERTY. Even with that design, speed still stands at the core of the release. This is thanks to its extremely lightweight ULTRAWEAVE upper, engineered fabric with a structured, 4-way stretch that reduces weight and friction. The upper is also made with at least 20% recycled materials.
Underfoot, a dual density outsole allows for rapid acceleration on the pitch. And most importantly, these are built specifically for female players, based on fit-testing and feedback from female athletes.
“Women’s football has always been a priority for PUMA and for this summer’s major tournament we have collaborated with iconic British retailer LIBERTY to produce bespoke jerseys for our female athletes to be worn on the biggest stage. Along with the custom kits all PUMA athletes will wear special edition FUTURE and ULTRA LIBERTY football boots in women’s specific fits. This will also mark the first FUTURE women’s specific fit, with this summer’s tournament being the perfect place to debut.” said Marco Mueller, Senior Head of Product Line Management Teamsport Apparel.
Incredibly, the Puma ULTRA Ultimate Liberty sold out in record time on Puma’s website. But, if you find this in time, pairs can still be found at SOCCER.com.
These would be perfect for my little sister who started soccer training not long ago. I love that you can still express femininity through pretty shoes but still be badass in the field.
