New Balance is treating Sadio Mané’s to a pair of special edition boots that celebrate the Senegalese reaching a century of Premier League goals.
The specially designed NB Furon v6+ edition, honoring Mané, were revealed after the Liverpool FC forward scored his hundredth Premier League goal against Watford at Vicarage Road. Featuring gold detailing across the soleplate and his bespoke insignia on the heel, the words ‘100 goals’ have also been added in tribute to his achievement. Mané joins a very elite list of players who have reached the impressive milestone.
In similar fashion to Raheem Sterling’s custom pairs, this one off is only available to its designated player to wear. But, there are similar Furon v6+ colorways available right now at SOCCER.com.
Since their initial introduction, the Furon has morphed from a stiff and bland silo into an energetic, fluid performing boot that easily competes with other top speed boots. New Balance has invested time and research to continually evolve the range right through to this sixth generation. Where the Nike Mercurial and adidas F50 silos rely on more form fitting synthetic materials, the Furon V6+ uses a knit to provide a more responsive fit and feel. This gives them the added advantage of being more responsive on foot, a stark contrast from where the silo started!
And when it comes to personal experience with them, this a boot that has quickly become a personal favorite. I’ve been wearing the Alpha Flair pack a lot recently and they do not disappoint. They rank as one of the most responsive boots that I’ve had the opportunity to wear, providing excellent fit and feel from first wear. If you are looking for a new boot, this is a pair I’d highly recommend researching.
