Raheem Sterling gave his new signature New Balance Furon V6+ boots the perfect debut yesterday, scoring the winning goal in Englands opening game vs Croatia. Dressed in pure white with blue and red detailing in key areas, the design absolutely stands out and blends with the England kit perfectly.
The Sterling x New Balance relationship is one that will transcend far more than just boots. There is a plan in place to take it off the pitch, with his debut campaign with the brand called “Done Just Talking.” It tells part of Raheem’s story and reaffirms his and New Balance’s commitment to driving positive social change. In creating the story, a group of young people from a group called ReachOut UK (a mentoring charity for young people from disadvantaged communities) attended the photoshoot and shadowed those on set. They also all received longer-term mentorship opportunities.
In terms of these signature boots, we haven’t heard anything about their availability. But, we will obviously get to see plenty more of them on the feet of Sterling throughout the tournament. There is a plan for more signature boot releases in the future, so maybe we will have some time to wait in order to see the first pairs released to market! And, if you didn’t spot it, Raheem’s new signature signature is located on the heel of the boot. The cross R and S design adds to what is a really sharp looking release.
You can, however, find all New Balance Furon V6+ colorways available at SOCCER.com.
