If there is one superstar player that likes to be autonomous of boot brands, it is Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Not since the original Nike Hypervenom release has Zlatan shown allegiance to one particular boot. He has switched from Nike to adidas and back again, and about a year ago we were questioning if he was about to join Puma!
Many question why he doesn’t stick to one specific brand and earn a big payday? It is likely he is back on a contract with Nike. but one thing that has been clear over the past view years is that he enjoys flexibility and the ability to be able to wear what he wants, when he wants. You can’t argue with that strategy, choosing comfort and performance first.
Over the past few months, he has returned to wearing the Nike Mercurial Vapor 13 in the “Daybreak” colorway. His pair are completely customized with his name and Swedish flag – as seen below.
This weekend – one to watch out for – he will be stepping out in the new tech advanced Nike Mercurial Vapor 14, which he has been wearing in training recently. Zlatan continues to build on his late career affiliation with the Swoosh and their speed focused silo!
