With the Nike Phantom GT series now officially released to market, there is a fresh wave of new boot options available for fall soccer. And with this one boot replacing both the Phantom Venom and the Phantom Vision, there will be a lot more players considering the tech advanced Phantom GT as their new boot choice. With that in mind, we wanted to run-through and break down all of the FG options available in the Phantom GT range.

Nike Phantom GT Elite DF
Price: $274.99
Elite Level Option (Top-Tier)
If you are looking for a version of the Phantom GT with all the bells and whistles, this is your boot! They feature everything from the dynamic collar to the fully textured upper. You get the Generative Texture across the upper, and a one-piece Flyknit upper that provides a supremely close-to-the-ball feel. This is the premier option for players playing at the top level or who take their game seriously. 
Nike Phantom GT Elite
Price: $249.99
Elite Level Option (Top-Tier)
This is the version that doesn’t feature a dynamic fit collar. But for some players, the ability to choose a boot that has a little more freedom around the ankle is the way to go. You get the Generative Texture across the upper, and a one-piece Flyknit upper that provides a supremely close-to-the-ball feel. This is the premier option for players playing at the top level or who take their game seriously.
Nike Phantom GT Pro
Price: $129.99
Pro Level Option (Mid-Tier)
A much more affordable option for players, the Pro version will be a huge seller. Nike do a really good job with their mid-tier options because they know how well they sell, so rest assured this is a boot that provides solid value for money. The upper is lightly textured, kind of like a toned-down Generative Texture. If you can pay up for this option, I wouldn’t really bother considering the Academy versions, that is how big the performance difference is.

Price: $84.99
Academy Level Option (Economy-Tier)
This is where we get into budget buys, options that are a lot more affordable and easier on the wallet. Yes, this version might look like some of the options above, but performance wise they are a shell of what the Elite level has on offer. The collar is less dynamic and more like a stretch fabric that sits around your ankle.
In reality, these are a much better option for entry level players, or those who just need a cool looking boot to sport on the pitch.
Nike Phantom GT Academy
Price: $79.99
Academy Level Option (Economy-Tier)
Again, this is where we get into budget buys, options that are a lot more affordable and easier on the wallet. Yes, this version might look like some of the options above, but performance wise they are a shell of what the Elite level has on offer. The upper is a lot smother with very minimal texturing, leaving you with a boot that looks aesthetically similar, but offers a very different touch and feel on the ball.
In reality, these are a much better option for entry level players, or those who just need a cool looking boot to sport on the pitch.
Kids Phantom GT Options
Then there are the kid versions of the Phantom GT that run in sizes from a size 10K (your 4-5 year old) to a youth 6. So, there are plenty of options available pending the specific model you are looking for. This is our quick help guide to youth or kid models in the Nike Phantom GT series.
Nike Junior Phantom GT Elite
Price: $149.99
Sizes run from youth 4 to youth 6.
The premier option available for youth players. These don’t feature a dynamic fit collar, but they do have an ankle collar that provides an excellent connection with the foot through wear. This is the option that gets as close as you can to the elite level adult model.
Nike Junior Phantom GT Academy DF
Price: $64.99
Sizes run from youth 1 to youth 6.
If you want a youth model that features a collar, this is the one. Although, that collar just isn’t as realistic as a traditional dynamic cut collar. It is more of an aesthetic addition that creates the illusion that you are wearing the same as the pro players. It is a selling point that differentiates these and the standard cut model by $5. If you really want a collar pay up, otherwise check the next option.

Sizes run from youth 1 to youth 6.
Everything as above, except this version features a traditional ankle cut. You don’t get a higher ankle cut, but in reality you don’t need it. These serve as a top option for a wide variety of players because of their simplicity and compatibility for players who want something new but not too crazy.
Nike Junior Phantom GT Club
Price: $49.99
Sizes run from 10k to youth 6.
Here lies the top option for entry level players. This is a very basic performing boot that is more aligned with comfort that the fancy tech specs that it could feature. Young players don’t need a whole lot of tech on their boots, thus why most parents will choose these. Again, if you have a player that is playing for the first time or who wants to keep the game as more of a hobby, these are an excellent entry level option.
