Nike has dropped the official match ball that will be used in the Premier League for the 2020/21 season. It might look familiar because we were just introduce to a unmarked version of the the Nike Flight a few weeks back, and we actually already tested what the new ball has on offer.
This PL version reflects some of the notable characteristics of Premier League gameplay, such as speed and precision. Angular chevrons and a Laser Crimson glow give a look as clean and striking as the shots on target the ball will deliver.
How Does It Feel To Strike?
When you are taking small touches on the ball, you can definitely sense there is more definition. So, you sort of feel the full curvature and grooves that exist on the surface. It doesn’t affect performance, or impact what you do on the ball. When striking it hard, you definitely can’t feel a texture difference. What you do get is a lot of ping, and I’d imagine a little more accuracy considering the concept of the Aerowsculpt design.
When the OG white version of the ball was released, it sold out in under a day. The Premier Leagur version is now available, also in limited quantities at soccer.com.
