The return of top flight soccer action is on the horizon, and Nike is set to officially release their latest pack on Monday, called the Neighborhood Pack. These were the boots that were originally set to be worn by Nike players at Euro 2020 before the tournament was postponed. So, with a new name put in place, Nike is releasing them as a pack that players will get back to action wearing.
Silver with splashes of red are on tap for the Mercurial, Phantom VNM, Phantom VSN II, and Tiempo with the unique feature being “zip codes.” An unusual addition, but one that adds a layer of celebration. Basically, Nike has placed zip codes across the boots that would have represented neighborhoods in 10 of the cities that were set to host games at Euro 2020 and at Copa America 2020.
Each boot features its own unique style of zip codes, with the following list found:
Georgia, Nápoles, 03810, Mexico City
Rue Gaston Defferre, 93140, Bondy, Paris
Lavapiés 28012, Madrid
Placa de Josep M. Folch i Torres, 08001, Barcelona
Badstraße 53 13357, Berlin
West Way Fields, White City, W12 0DF, London, Pekcham, SE15, London
Via Veglia, 20159, Milan
Av. Cond. Elizabeth Robin, 5120, Sao Paulo
Cerritos Park 110121, Bogota
Barrios of La Boca C1160ABM, Buenos Aires
Obviously, it takes on less significance considering when and how they are being released. And this type of detailing won’t get the same type of attention it deserves. But lets be honest, this is an incredibly sharp looking pack that will shine and dazzle when most of Europe’s top leagues get back to game action in the next few weeks.
Again, Monday is set to be the official release date for the Nike Neighborhood Pack with everything available at soccer.com.
