One to watch out for tonight! Sac Republic keeper, Josh Cohen, will be wearing a special pair of custom boots in conjunction with the release of the clubs new City Kit. The collaboration sees the work of local Sacramento artist, Steven Cook, detailed across Cohen’s adidas X17.1 boots.
It is a throwback boot with graphic that represent what the city is about, detailing on the boots includes the famous Sacramento Tower Bridge, a flowing Sacramento river pattern and the California state bear on the forefoot.. You also get a single gold star, representing Sac Republic’s 2014 USL title championship. The boots will eventually be auctioned off for charity.
If you haven’t checked out the new 2019 City Kit, it falls right in-line with the detailing found on the boots, and is the first from the club that takes on a different color shade. It will debut tonight when Sac Republic take on San Antonio FC at Papa Murphy Park, and you can catch the game on ESPN+.
