When we talk about limited edition boot releases, it all really started with the Nike GS back in 2012. That was the first time a brand had released a boot only intended as a special edition, with the lightweight boot made of recycled materials. In case you missed it, GS stood for Green Speed.
Today, Kylian Mbappe dropped a sneak peek at the 2018 Nike GS360 in his Instagram story, as Nike look to remake a modern version. It will be made on the Mercurial Superfly 360 silo, with the same colors as the original GS, with some extra detailing. There are sure to be recycled materials again incorporated, and following along recent trends we are pretty sure there will only be 2018 pairs released worldwide.
And it is clear that Mbappe will be a key feature player wearing them. What this sneak peek tells us is that they are ready to drop any day now!
Thoughts on the release? Who actually recalls the release of the original GS?
