It is a move that has been on the cards for a while, and today Puma made it official. Luis Suarez is the latest high profile player to switch to the brand, choosing to wear the Puma FUTURE 2.1 NetFit for this season and beyond.
Over the past few weeks, Suarez has been training and playing in a blackout pair that were pretty easy to distinguish thanks to the textured knit upper and rounded mid-cut collar. It is a pretty dramatic change considering the fact Suarez was a key figure wearing the laceless adidas X18+. He basically went from no laces to a boot built for laces!
Along with the announcement, Suarez posted the below video along with the tagline “Forget the past. Be the FUTURE!” We watch this space to see him lace up for the first time officially in a pair of the Uprising Pack colorway.
Forget the past. Be the FUTURE! I’m very excited to announce and join the @pumafootball family. 💪🚀💥 #NewLevels #PUMAFuture pic.twitter.com/JXpDBhWB1E
