In an effort to showcase their latest signature silos through pre-season, New Balance has unleashed some pretty flashy new designs. The Furon 4.0 gets a Flame/Aztec Gold paint job, while the recently released Tekela 1.0 features a showstopper Polaris/Galaxy scheme.
In terms of performance, the Furon 4.0 is designed for speed, acceleration and accuracy. Using FantomFit technology and Hidraskin touch membrane with an enlarged clean lace contact zone, Furon 4.0 allows for a clean, precise strike in front of the goal. The outsole has been engineered for acceleration featuring TPU with inlayed nylon chassis for increased stiffness and directional toe off texture. In addition, the lightweight mesh lining with a PU sprint spike inspired heel collar maintains comfort and movement around the ankle.
Then there is Tekela 1.0, created specifically for the innovators who use speed and quick movement to impact the outcome of games. These are a game changer in the world of New Balance, as they produce what is without a doubt their best boot to date. With a full foot micro fiber upper featuring dynamic kinetic stitch embroidered bands, Tekela wearers get exceptional stability, feel and touch – allowing them to be fearlessly creative going forward. The outsole has been engineered for agility; featuring TPU with inlayed nylon chassis and conical studs that provide 360 rotational traction.
