Introducing the Updated adidas COPA18.1

Cold Blooded adidas Copa18

What better way to kick off the new year than with an updated release in the COPA series. Following on from the COPA17, the COPA18 is designed in line with expectations as adidas focus on ultimate support and comfort at its heart. Word on the street is that these are “cold blooded”, at least according to the adidas PR campaign.

Benefiting from the most advanced performance materials, COPA18.1 combines the upper from the COPA17 with an all-new Leather Embossed Vamp and innovative Sock Construction System, making it the most lightweight COPA to date and providing more stability than ever.

adidas has gone with a classic, premium K-leather upper for a natural and clean touch on the ball. An internal X-Ray Vamp Cage brings the foot closer to the ball to reduce slippage, while a Compression Fold-Over Tongue provides improved supportive fit and stability. Then there is the Comfort Internal Construction features foam pads and the new molded Ortholite Sockliner that offer an enhanced cushioning experience for total comfort.

Underfoot, a Sprintframe plate provides stability while Conical Studs Tips have been aligned in a classic set-up for smooth ground penetration. There is also a modern arch in the midfoot area for those that need some extra support through wear.

Originally launched in the late ‘70s with the COPA Mundial, the COPA family has outclassed opposition teams all over the world for the last 38 years. This boot continues that trend while offering innovation to the modern player.

Kicking off the silo is two fresh colorways, each offering a unique classic take for players to enjoy. First is the White/Black/Gold that was stealthily included in the SkyWalker Pack. Then there is this new Black/Red Coral that is essentially the official release colorway!
