Over the past few seasons, we have seen Nike release some pretty awesome colorways in honor of Black History Month. In 2015 it was a pair of Mercurial Superfly and in 2016 a pair of Magista Obra. This year it is a pair of Mercurial Vapor XI BHM that will pays homage to the achievements of black athletes across all sports and other facets of life.
Details and first images of the special edition release come via SoccerBible.
“The upper of the Mercurial Vapor XI BHM features different coloured line graphics on a black canvas to represent the roots of the different communities coming together. The word ‘EQUALITY’ is plastered on the sock-liner of the boot, and the design is finished off with shimmering gold Swooshes, and a matching BHM logo on the heel. They will be worn by Dani Alves and Kevin-Prince Boateng.”
Limited pairs in the US are set to be released on Jan 15th.
