What better way to celebrate Nike Air Max Day than with a pair of boots designed after one of the most iconic footwear releases of all time. Released as part of the Revolution Pack, these Tiempo Legend VI mimic the Air Max 1, originally released in 1987. That is a serious amount of pressure for Nike’s heritage boot to take on, but the end result pays perfect homage.
This latest Tiempo Legend comes with all the bells and whistles found on the fifth generation series, including a K-leather upper, one-piece tongue construction and dual-density TPU outsole. But there is also on more important addition……

In order to create the signature Air Max 1 look, a layer of blue is added around the front lip of the boot. Rather than just being a color addition, Nike has taken the opportunity to add a piece of textured material to enhance durability. If there has been one issue players have had with the series it is separation, so this added sandpaper like joining forms a stronger bond through the region. Is that enough to justify the LE releases increased $275 price tag? I don’t think so, but it does add a new much improved dynamic to the series, specifically for those serious about their Tiempo’s!

Final note; if these boots look familair, they were actually released as part of a SCCRX Heritage Pack released last year. It features the same color palette, but is obviously designed for a different playing surface.
