Adidas has released their latest speed boot, X 15+ SL, offering a fresh new approach to the highly popular X15 series. Visually, there is something extra dynamic about these, as adidas has built them using an innovative new X-CAGE with a shine-through TPU material. In other words, there are transparent see-through panels along the side of your boot! In turn, wearing different color socks will effectively create different looks for players.
The X-SKIN upper is made up of a complex three-layered system that delivers comfort, protection and performance in any conditions, whilst a lightweight design gives ultimate support during the most agile movements. Although listed as a White/Black/Shock Blue, the colorway is anything but simple. Up close you get what looks like a White/Silver Shimmer effect across the upper. The silver breaks through to create an upgraded light speckle effect.

The updated TECHFIT COLLAR sock construction offers a compression fit around the ankle for superior support and fit, with the X-CLAW base giving solid traction with a lightweight feel on both FG and AG surfaces. Note the Metallic Blue studs that offer a dramatic visual effect. After all the tech specs are pieced together, the boot weighs in at a very competitive 7.2oz.
The new X15 colourway is already being worn by the likes of Thomas Müller, Gareth Bale, Luis Suárez, Alvaro Morata and Karim Benzema and will be on display in both this summer’s major tournaments – the UEFA European 2016 Championships and Copa America.
