Who remembers the 2010 CR7 Mercurial SuperFly II that shocked the world with the very first soccer style safari print? Well, Nike has created a fresh collection with a similar look in the form of the NikeFootballX Safari Pack.
On offer in the Safari Pack is the HYPERVENOMX, MAGISTAX, MERCURIALX. Each features its own intricate styling and color combination as seen below, with the spotted print creating a vastly different visual effect.
The new collection will include both the Court (IC) and Street (TF) versions of each silo. You can see the difference between both traction systems in the images below, with the HypervenomX and MagistaX featuring a flatter court surface sole, while the MercurialX is geared for turf play. Coupled with a dynamic mid-cut collar, they are all designed to provide players with an “as-one” feel from leg through ankle and to provide the ultimate fit, touch and traction for specific styles of play. The Magista is crafted for creative, unstoppable playmakers. The Mercurial is built for explosive speed.
And to answer a common question, Nike has incorporated “X” as a nod to the combined number of players in a game of five-a-side.
The entire line-up will be available December 21 via Nike.com and Soccer.com.
