It has been a busy week of international action and with that has come a whole line-up of new kit releases. Adidas and Puma have lead the way with some pretty special designs. Case in point has to be the new German away kit, that is actually reversible, providing players with 2 kits in one! Or what about that bold Spanish away kit – you either love it or hate it!
Here are some of the latest to be released (and worn) over the past few days. If you missed the first round of adidas releases, make sure to check them out here.
Germany Away
It is a case of “Our pitch, Our rules” for the reigning World Champion’s new away kit. Featuring a striped charcoal and black body mixed with a forest green sleeves, you can also reverse it to reveal a wearable lime green design. That inner design makes the perfect bib when you need a training top! Across the chest is an embroidered adidas logo, sewn on team badge, with a FIFA World Cup Winners badge holding center stage. Since release, there has been a very mixed reaction with some liking the fact it is reversible and others not approving the overall color design.
The replica version is available for $89.99 from soccer.com.
Spain Away
Home or away, don’t mess with the reigning European champions. If you are looking to set a statement on a kit, this is quite a way to do it! The Spain away kit is bold, brash and a little funky. A set of triangle in the national team colors is placed in an abstract pattern across the body and left sleeve.
The replica version is available for $89.99 from soccer.com.
Belgium Away
The Belgium away kit offers a simple, yet extremely unique look. It is basically a solid sky blue with the Belgian flag placed across the chest. Team and adidas logos are on the front.

Puma Home Kits
Then there is Puma and their skin-tight line-up of new kits. As usual, Italy lead the way with a blue pinstripe style design. The high crew neck collar is a reference to great Azzurri shirts from the past, keeping this design detail alive in the modern day. Additional design elements include form stripe mesh inserts along the shoulders, high sleeve cuffs, golden sleeve piping and the side vent ‘tricolore’ flag detail on the left and right of the hem
Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic and Slovakia are the other nations who will wear these new home kits in France next summer. All of these home shirts feature PUMA’s new apparel technology ACTV Thermo-R, strategically inserted in both the front and the back of the shirt to help players maintain an optimum body temperature. A unique phase-change material is injected into the shirts’ inner athletic tape which allows microcapsules to absorb excess heat and release it back to the body when needed. The taping in the shirts provides an extra snug fit, micro-massaging the skin in specific areas to enable a faster, more effective energy supply to the active muscles.
