It is back! After a summer of international tournaments and crazy transfer rumors, the Barclays Premier League (BPL) kicks off this weekend. The competition has really never been stronger and the charge to the title is going to fantastic to watch. With that in mind, we wanted to take a look at the top boots that will be on show during the season and who is set to wear those boots.
This is our list of Boots To Watch Out For and the Players Wearing Them!
Nike Tiempo Legend
Players: Matteo Darmian, Bratislav Ivanovic, Jose Fonte, Laurent Koscielny, Christian Benteke.
Here is a boot that has quickly become a defensive player favorite. The line-up of players choosing to wear the heritage style boot is pretty comprehensive. The reasons why make sense. Built on the ideals of comfort and a clean first touch, these are quality option for players that run the game from the backline. There is a no-nonsense feel about them and they are the last remaining “sensible” boot option from the swoosh.

Adidas X15
Players: Juan Mata, Theo Walcott, Diego Costa, David Silva, Moussa Sissoko.
If any boot has the opportunity to become a worldly this season, it is the X15. The list of players wearing them are all potential game changers. That is pretty pitch perfect considering this silo is all about creating “Chaos”. Through the release phase of this new silo, the colorways have substantially improved. Expect to see these receive plenty of attention, both for looks, and performance through this season!

Nike Hypervenom Phantom and Phinish
Phantom players: Romelu Lukaku, Papiss Demba Cisse, Graziano Pelle.
Phinish players: Harry Kane, Wayne Rooney.
We’ve combined both Hypervenom boots on this one, simple because they are one of the most attack focused boots on the list. Think about the sheer number of goals that will potentially be scored by the range! The one big difference between both boots is the mid-cut collar and the concept of a dynamic fit. From a personal perspective, I’m all about the Phinish and allowing movement through the ankle as you cut and chop. Pelle offers one interesting take on the Phantom, as he has cut the mid-cut collar lower to his desired fit.

Nike Vapor X
Players: Eden Hazard, Raheem Sterling, Sadio Mane.
What an exciting line-up to have wearing one of the most dynamic boots on the market. The Vapor X is all about speed and offers one of the best fits out there. The boot features an ultra-thin Teijin microfiber synthetic leather that conforms to the shape of your foot for a second-skin fit. You also get a built in tongue – or you could say it is tongue-less. Coupled with the, ultra-thin, microfiber upper that mimics the touch of a synthetic leather, Nike created a boot that provides a glove like fit thanks to a fully enclosed design.

Under Armour Speedform
Players: Memphis Depay
So, this is not a boot you are going to see it a lot of places. But given Under Armour’s tight marketing budget and desire to get spotted, Memphis Depay in your feature boot is a very smart move. Already cementing a starting spot in the Manchester United line-up, we are sure to see a lot of the Speedform through the early part of the season. Plus, the fact UA are releasing custom Memphis designs makes them even more appealing.

Adidas Ace15
Players: Petr Cech, David De Gea, Leighton Baines, Mesut Ozil.
Here is a boot that is labelled with the tagline “control everything” and an attack minded focus from Adidas. Yet, they are probably the most hybrid boot on the market right now, ready for use by players in all positions on the pitch. Looking at the line-up wearing them, that is completely the case. The Ace15.1 is the boot that impresses us most of the new adidas 2015 collection. Why? Because they opitomize everything you need in a boot. The upper is comfortable with an accommodating fit, they feature a soleplate and traction system that can adapt to multiple surfaces, and the upper provides a clean touch on the ball.

New Balance Visaro
Player: Aaron Ramsey, Samir Nasri, Vincent Kompany.
New Balance has some work to do if they want to impress the market. Given their one year release to market, fans have been waiting a long time to see what they have to actually offer. Of their boots on offer, the Visaro has the most potential, but they need a good showing this season. The players set with the task to “create chances” wearing them is impressive, so we are excited to see how it plays out for the brand over the coming months.

Puma evoPOWER 1.2
Players: Cesc Fabregas, Olivier Giroud, Yaya Toure.
Cec Fabregas has become the face of the evoPOWER range and he is the perfect example of the player this hybrid-power boot is geared towards. This is a boot inspired by the function of power generated through a barefoot kick. The boot’s lightweight and super soft microfiber Adaptlite upper material stretches in a longitudinal not lateral direction allowing a freedom of movement while maintaining support. Combined with the Gradual Stability Frame (GSF) outsole technology, the foot bends with a kinetic motion similar to a barefoot to help a player create increased power, especially when shooting.
