Diadora are back with an upgraded version of their high profile Quinto indoor series, and they have given us firsthand access to a pair before anyone else. This soon to be released Diadora Quinto 5 provides players with top quality short-sided performance in a very affordable package. With higher prices for similar rated adidas and Nike shoes, a lot of players look to other brands for quality indoor style shoes. Diadora is a brand that has continually oozed quality in their boots, especially when it comes to comfort, durability and value for money.
The design and color combination on this one is sharp, with a blast of lime detailing highlighting the Sea Blue and Navy upper. Diadora also focus on breathability, by adding mesh panels through the midfoot and forefoot. Players should expect a comfortable boot with the benefit of extra ventilation.
In terms of material, the upper is a Nylon mesh with SuprellTech inserts strategically positioned to reinforce strike areas. You also get an anti-stretch lining and anti-slip rear lining. When you factor in the additional padding placed around the heel, it makes for a very comfortable shoe. Underfoot, Diadora us a very flexible abrasion resistant gum rubber sole that really performs well on court. They are flexible through turns and quick directional changes while maintaining full surface traction.
As per above, these shoes have not yet been officially released to market, but as soon as they are we will update with retail info. As it stands, we expect them to retail around the $59.99 mark, which really is a competitive price range for what they have on offer. Comfort plus durability is a real winner when it comes to indoor play.
