Late last year, Adidas released what we now know was the final installment of the highly rated Kaiser 5 Liga boots, in an array of vibrant colorways. They were glorious, and most pairs of the economical boot sold out pretty quickly. But, we have found an unlikely treasure trove of remaining pairs for any player that might want to relive the classic release one final time!
If you’re unfamiliar with the Kaiser 5 Liga, which is highly possible because for years the Kaiser 5 has been difficult to get in North America, the boot is essentially a take down of the legendary Copa Mundial, and is named after “Der Kaiser” Franz Beckenbauer – who is arguably the best player to ever wear the Copa Mundial. Beckenbauer led Germany to the World Cup title in 1974 and helped Bayern Munich win three straight European Cups (now known as the Champions League) from 1974-1976. And as a celebration of that feat and in order to celebrate tradition, the Kaiser 5 was originally born. But, with the introduction of the adidas Gloro, there had to be a boot that took a firm backseat and the Kaiser was retired.
Given that they are now a dead stock boot and in exclusive colorways, prices are going to be high. We have done some research to authenticate the boots. Given what you are getting, we are pretty confident a sub-section of players will appreciate what is on offer!
Available in a traditional Black colorway as “Liga”, or suited for FG surfaces. These limited edition boots were originally listed for $180. They are currently available for between $90 to $160 at Amazon.
Dang how’d I miss these. Look like an upgraded version of the lotto stadio released.
Honestly, Randy, no one gives a flying shite.
