In case you missed it, Nike released a flashy new pack called Intense Heat this week, focusing on warm hues that symbolize the intensity of the end of season league battles that take place.
The big winner from the pack so far seems to be the Superfly and Vapor designs, both coming in a Risk Red with a lenticular effect on the Swoosh that creates depth and variance in its color, appearing prominently purple when you wear them on the pitch. It all sounds fancy and a little complicated, but it comes together in commendable fashion on the pitch.

In terms of the Superfly IV and performance, they are built specifically for speed. With a dynamic mid-cut collar that locks down the player in sprint mode, a micro-textured Nike Flyknit upper that provides a barefoot-like feel, and a highly responsive carbon-fiber plate designed to further provide explosive speed in all directions, this is about as advanced as we have ever seen a boot go.
If the Vapor X is your choice of boot (as seen below) you are getting a high performing, lightweight speed boot with a twist – Nike has given these a tongueless design and a perfectly brushed, textured upper for a controlled touch on the ball. Plus they offer a fantastic snug fit right around the entire foot.
We don’t have to wait long to see either boot in action. Players across the top leagues will begin wearing the new colorways this weekend, so that is something to watch out for.
In terms of retail, the Superfly checks in at $274.99 while the Vapor can be picked up for $199.99.
