Later today, before their game versus Juventus, AS Roma will be debuting a whole new type of interactive experience for fans. Over the past few seasons Roma has become a leader in social media activity and fan interaction (and in part due to Shergul Arshad‘s time at the club). Case in point this incredible new project.
In partnership with Google, Roma is attempting to transport the match-day experience across the globe, using the latest technology and the power of social media to attract new fans from every corner of the world. Follow the Roma team bus as it journeys to the stadium, with drones flying above the crowd. Check out a “photosphere,” an interactive panoramic image which allows users to further explore game night in the Italian capital. And best of all, experience “Shoeselfies”, 360 gifs of each players boots prior to kick off!
Of course, it is the latter that has grasped our attention and will have us focused in come kick-off. The Shoeselfies will be shared before the game, including one of Radja Nainggolan wearing rainbow laces in support of gay rights (as per below). Think of the opportunities here, we might even get a sneak peak at Francesco Totti in his the brand new Tiempo Legend Premium!!
If you do want to check them all out, Roma’s Google Plus page will be the place to go.
