What is black, designed to be a heritage boot and badly in need of a revisit to older models? That would be the 11pro range, and we are on the verge of a fresh new release from the folks at adidas. What makes these even more interesting is the fact that they are most likely going to be updated with an oldschool naming convention, becoming the adiPure 11Pro again.
What does that mean from a performance perspective? We really don’t know. But what is clear is that Adidas are introducing the range with a more tradition feel, using a primary black upper to showcase the silo. Of course, there is some extra pop via the central stripe that runs down the front of the boot, but it is nice to see black being introduced with what should be a solid heritage release.
Xabi Alonso is the first player to wear the “final product” in training, as he has been the past few days. Given his current form with Bayern Munich, he seems like the perfect player to highlight the range and take it to a new generation of players. We also expect Toni Kroos to be a key component through their release, which is kind of ironic considering both players switched clubs, in a like for like swap.
Expect to see more details about these boots over the coming days!
