Is there Hidden Meaning in Wayne Rooney’s Boots?

Rooney Gol

Shout out to Andrew McCole for this spot that he shared during our latest episode of “Boots and Bantz“.

The boot in question is the 100 cap Hypervenom that Rooney wore this past weekend. In normal mode, the side of the boot reads “100”. BUT, if you flip them over, the result is what looks like “GOL” – yes, as in the post-goal shout you are likely to hear while watching beIN sports. You have to use the lions head to create the G but it definitely looks like their is double meaning to this logo. If there is, that is a pretty interesting creation and something not a lot of people would have picked up on.

What do you guys think? And do you see the “GOL” text?

  3. This is such an intriguing angle! I never thought about the symbolism behind a player’s boots before. It’s fascinating how personal choices can reflect deeper meanings in sports. Would love to hear more insights on how other players choose their gear!
