adidas today unveiled the second signature Lionel Messi adiZero F50 of the season – this one built exclusively for UEFA Champions League action. Off the heals of the La Liga version, these are inspired by the architecture of Barcelona, and represents every goal he has scored and the 21 cities he has scored in. They are also designed to celebrates the four times Messi has claimed the Golden Boot award, his four UEFA Champions League hat tricks and the three times he has lifted the famous trophy.
Each version of Messi’s signature adizero F50 combines revolutionary technology with the precision engineering of the reigning 2014 FIFA World Cup Golden Ball winner. At only 5.3 ounces, the adizero F50 is one of the lightest cleats in the game and intended for total speed.
Leo Messi is widely considered as the world’s best player and one of the most successful players in the history of the UEFA Champions League. The words embellished on the boot, words like ‘respect’, ‘fun’ and ‘speed’, symbolise the attributes at the core of his game.
The actual design of the boot is vastly unusual, with four different colors employed across the upper. They definitely offer a look we haven’t seen before, and whether or not fans like them is going to be down to personal taste. The actual colors used are tough to distinguish, but they seem to be a Gold/Green/Blue/Burgundy – up for debate depending on what kind of lighting you check them out in! What is the mass opinion on these ones? Let us know in the comments.
