Bulgarian team Ludogorets needed the help of their center back Cosmin Moti in goal to escape the final round of Champions League qualifying. The victory means Ludogorets will become the second Bulgarian team ever in the group stage and the first since 2006. Ludogorets had their first choice goalkeeper sent off in the final minutes of extra time, and with no available subs, they were forced to put a field player in goal for the penalty shoot out. Wearing the backup keepers jersey, Moti was able to convert his own penalty kick, and save two from his opponents to push Ludogorets to victory.
