Toto is Back and he is Scoring Goals For Fun!

dinatale_antonio640Everyone’s favourite tiny Italian maestro Antonio Di Natale nearly retired on us at the end of last season. He even did a lap of honour and everything! Thankfully, he reconsidered and is playing on for at least one more season, although given how sublime his talent is he could probably play on until he’s 50!

This talent was again on display during the 5-1 Coppa Italia drubbing which Udinese handed to Serie B side Ternana. The soon to be 37 year old ‘Toto’ was on song scoring four of the Friuli based side, including a peach of a fourth goal where he chipped the goalkeeper in a manner which can only be described as perverse (check the 2:40 mark on the video)! Di Natale has been a long time wearer of the Asics Lethal Tigreor series which is currently in it’s seventh incarnation.

For those curious, Udinese move onto the fourth round of the Coppa, a tournament which bodes to be their best chance at winning some silverware this season, and hopefully they’re able to do that, because it’d be nice to see the wee maestro lifting some silverware the same season he becomes the all time top scorer of Serie A.
