Here is another solid option to add to the growing list of boots perfect for use while playing my second favorite sport, Footgolf.
The very vibrant Diadora DD-NA 2 Turf is perfectly balanced with a water resistant Suprellsoft synthetic upper and a multi-studded rubber outsole making them ideal for use in any type of turf and hard ground surface. Visually, they hold a very Italian look that to the colors of the Italian flag detailed along the side region of an overall Fluo Yellow upper. The heel also features a flash bang of colors to finish off the look. There is definitely a fresh appearance about them even though the stitching across the forefoot seems slightly out of place on a synthetic material.
From a performance perspective, I only had the opportunity to wear them on a very undulated Footgolf course in Ireland. I didn’t run in them, but the rolling hills between holes was extremely challenging and there were plenty of long shots played. Striking the ball, they felt very effective, even though the boot doesn’t feature any specific type of power element. The upper is smooth overall, with the only definition coming through the stitching across the forefoot and a slight tackiness to the Diadora logo. In other words, there is nothing special on hand but they do the job as required by your everyday player.
With all courses in the US requiring players wear turf or running shoes, traction is vitally important. Without a doubt, the soleplate on the DD-NA 2 Turf is one of the most suitable you will find on the market. There is plenty of definition throughout and the entire configuration is spread in a very generous fashion. This means very limited damage to the surface of the course, while you stay upright and well away from any slippage issues! If anyone is interested in the course we played, it is called Fairway Football and the course is pretty phenomenal!
