Puma evoSPEED 1.2 SL – Lightweight Speed Unboxed

evoSPEED 1.2 SL

Puma add another boot to their super lightweight collection with this release, the evoSPEED 1.2 SL. Given that the evoSPEED 1.2 is designed for quick acceleration and pacey players, there is heavy expectations on the 5.8oz SL. In order to get to that weight, the boot has been dramatically modified with an ultra thin, highly performated microfiber upper added, while the soleplate is completely trimmed down. Visually, the look is bold but very similar to the rest of the evoSPEED family, with the Shark Blue colorway offering a truly vivid appearance.

Unusually, there was very little coverage of these boots when they were released and it seems like Puma never intended to push the silo on players. They simply arrived on the market one day, so there isn’t a great deal of solid info about them available right now. What is available seems to be pretty positive, something that has been associated with Puma SL releases in the past.

They arrived in a few weeks ago, and I’ve already set about putting them through their paces with a review right around the corner. There have been some pretty surprising results thus far, but I’m saving it all for the review. Until then, check out the intro/unboxing video below where you get a 360 degree look at the recently released boots. 1. They look GREAT

  2. Bryan i was wondering if you know anything about puma discontinuing their king series. All of the players wearing them are now wearing the evopower, they havent released any new colorways recently and puma only seem to advertise evopower or evospeed. Do you know anything about this?

  3. Do they let in water?

  4. How does the boot fit? I have pretty wide fit and normally stick to leather boots so it gives me a little room to stretch. I currently have nike legends that fit well. How would these match up?

  5. Do You prefere this one or the regular one?
