Warrior’s Newest Signings – Stoke City and Fernando Reges

Within two weeks of releasing a fresh Blue/ Red Gambler colorway, Warrior Sports has been back at work making a few big signings. About a week ago, Warrior announced the signing of a new kit deal with Stoke City. Warrior will design Stoke City’s home and away kits along with all training wear starting June 2014. Stoke City will be Warrior’s second Premier League team. They will join Liverpool as the two Warrior teams. But Warrior wasn’t satisfied just yet, and the very next day, they announced the signing of Porto’s Fernando Reges. Fernando is Warrior’s latest acquisition in their growing list of players. The impressive list includes big names such as Vincent Kompany, Kolo Toure, Marouane Fellaini, and others.

Stay tuned to Warrior’s Facebook page because they will reveal Stoke’s new home and away kits tomorrow!

To me, signing Stoke City was a smart move from Warrior. The Potters, who are currently in 10th place, are a solid team that manages a solid mid-table finish each year ever since their promotion in 2008. This means that Warrior doesn’t really have to worry about their team being relegated. They have a passionate fan base that I’m sure will welcome Warrior as their club’s new kit supplier. I have no doubt that their fans will be quick to upgrade their kit collection by adding the new Warrior jerseys. Stoke has a notoriously solid defense, but they recently have had some fine form going forward. Some of their star players are Asmir Begović, Ryan Shawcross, and Peter Crouch. Although Stoke may not be as prominent as Liverpool, they are still a constant force in the Premier League and this signing shouldn’t be taken lightly. I can’t wait to see what the new jerseys will look like. Hopefully, it will be ambitious and unique, while still preserving some of the basics from the past kits (white and red stripes).

“Partnering with Warrior was an easy decision to make. The players are the heartbeat of Warrior Football and what makes this brand really unique is the way they work with those players as a team. Putting the team first is something I feel I’ve done throughout my career and that is why I think the partnership with Warrior will be a great one.”   Fernando Reges

On Thursday, Fernando Reges signed with Warrior Football. He will wear the Skreamer in the White/Green (Mirage) colorway. “The Octopus” recently gained Portuguese citizenship and there is a possibility he will represent them in the World Cup this summer. Fernando has a strong presence on the field because of his fearless and combative style of play. He is one of FC Porto’s most consistent players. He earned the nickname of “The Octopus” through his tireless running and constant defensive prowess, supposedly giving him the appearance of having multiple legs. FC Porto is currently in 3rd in  the Portuguese Liga, a Champions League Qualifying spot. If Porto can manage to qualify for the Champions League through qualifying, it would be a big plus for Warrior.

SKREAMER MIRAGEWarrior just doesn’t stop making big name signings. Their most recent additions of Stoke City and Fernando show why they should be taken seriously. Warrior has high quality boots, and they also have an impressive list of players and teams. Keep your eye out for Warrior, as I have a feeling that we are going to see much more of them in the very near future as they continue to expand.

  1. Wow this is impressive. I keep telling people that Warrior will be the next big brand within the next ten years. They have the financial backing as they are a major brand owned by a bigger brand in New Balance. Plus it really doesn't seem like they care who they are competing against as long as they get what they want. They will be around.
