Nike Release Their Summer 2014 Boot Collection

Nike Summer 2014 Collection

As most have already spotted, there is an entirely new set of Nike boot colorways currently being worn by pro players across the globe. We have already hit on the very awesome Mercurial Vapor IX Fast Forward 06, which has received plenty of plaudits from fans on what could be one of the more iconic releases of the year. But there is also new versions of the Hypervenom, Tiempo V and the CTR360 Maestri to choose from. Below is a very brief breakdown of each to keep you updated and in check with the current market.

Find the entire range currently listed at soccer.com.

CTR360 Summer 2014

In what is expected to be one of the final CTR360 Maestri colorways we will see released, Nike has added a monotone blast of Bright Crimson. If you didn’t know better, you might think that these are on fire the color is that deep, with the Chrome tongue is there as a handle! It is a straight forward release that eases the boot in retirement.

Available for $200.

Tiempo V Summer 2014

Then there is this Blast Red Tiempo V, that has a similar personality to the CTR360 release but with a lot more pop. Personally, I love this look much more than the and it befits the modern feel of the new heritage silo. It is the white side swoosh that differentiates the release.

Available for $200.

Hypervenom Summer 2014

In order to finalize the collection, Nike give the Hypervenom Phantom a coat of Yellow with some Mustard detailing across the top. This is a boot that has definitely received plenty of attention over the past week, with several top players taking to the pitch in them.

Available for $224.

Mercurial Vapor IX 2006

We profiled this Mercurial Vapor IX last week and they are definitely the highlight of the Summer Collection. It is a colorway that players have been screaming for ever since the 2006 World Cup and Nike has obliged with this design. With the advancement of boot technology, it offers players a new-age performance with the same iconic look.

Available for $224.

The entire range has a definite summer feel to it and you can see how Nike has paired up the silos in terms of visuals. At this point, the numbers of new colorway updates is stagering and can be confusing. These boots have their own unmistakable looks and should be around for a few months – at least!

Whats your opinion of the Summer 2014 collection and do you have one particular preferred version?
