We are fresh off the full introduction of the Nike Magista and yet a lot of questions still remain as to how they actually perform. It is the sockliner that has players wondering just what they can expect in play and if it will stand the test of wet/muddy conditions.
There is one question we already have answered, however, and that surrounds which players will be wearing the boots from official release. We still have some time to wait before they hit pitches (it seems Nike were in a rush to get this technology to market) but they did give us details on who to watch for.
Barcelona’s Andrés Iniesta, Bayern Munich forward Mario Gotze, PSG’s Thiago Silva, Turkish midfielder Arda Turan and the ultimate wanna be playmaker, Chelsea’s David Luiz will be the first group sporting the fresh new silo.
We still have plenty of time before now and their release to market (set to be late April, early May) but stay tuned to soccer.com where they will be listed first.
Christian Eriksen is gonna be wearing them aswell I think.
It's a gimmik. Give the "sock" a few months and it'll be gone from the Magista
