This morning, Adidas unleashed a whole new set of bold, flashy colorways in their signature lines as a way to celebrate next Summer’s World Cup in Brazil – the Samba Collection. It seems a bit premature to release a series like this and I’m surprised it is the direction Adidas has headed, but the launch actually marks the start of the adidas “All in or Nothing” 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ campaign.
The boots treated to a new coat of paint are the Predator LZ, adiPure 11Pro, Nitrocharge 1.0 and the F50 adiZero. Each has been designed with its own distinct identity and compilation of bright colors that take on the heart and soul of Samba in Brazil.
For Samba Collection, we took our inspiration from Brazil. The pack is colourful, energetic and full of character – just like Brazil! From the beaches of Bahia to the Carnival of Rio, our boots will use tones and palettes that you’ve never seen before on a football boot – Antoine Hadjimanolis, Global Senior Product Manager, adidas Football
The best players in the world will debut the Samba collection this weekend, including Leo Messi, Gareth Bale, Mesut Özil, Dani Alves, Oscar, Xavi, Karim Benzema, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Jozy Altidore, Omar Gonzalez and Graham Zusi, among others.
The Samba collection hits stores November 14 for $220 (adizero F50, Predator Lethal Zones), $200 (NitroCharge) and $165 (11Pro) but they are all currently available to purchase from Soccer.com and WeGotSoccer.
PS. Anyone notice the changes on the F50 adiZero? Stay tuned for more details……
