When it comes to custom, one off designs, Nike got it absolutely spot on with this super significant pair of boots for Chris Wondolowski. Wondo was treated to his own pair as part of the Nike N7 initiative, which is committed to inspiring and enabling participation in sport for Native American and Aboriginal populations in North America. It is a worthy cause and we are definitely fans of seeing MLS players get the personalized Nike treatment.
The overall design of these Hypervenom Phantoms is pretty ridiculous – everything about them looks awesome, from the colors used to the zig-zag chrome underlay pattern used on the forefoot. This pattern actually relates to the Tribal routes of Wondo and they are the piece that makes the boot so unique. This addition will not be found on any other Hypervenoms and Nike will not be releasing the design option for public use. In other words you can’t get a pair of these!

Wondo has worn the boots twice now, and he actually scored the winning goal last night while helping the Quakes squeeze through to the quarter final of the CONCACAF Champions League.
