Adidas adiPure 11Pro vs Nike Tiempo IV
Bryan: Nike Tiempo IV – If we were talking previous versions of the adiPure, they would win hands down. But the current Tiempo far outclasses the performance of the 11Pro.
Kevin: Adidas AdiPure 11 Pro – This is a close one but I would give the edge to the AdiPure’s, I was expecting big things from the Tiempo but was kind of disappointed with them, and I had problems with stud pressure. The Adipure iv’s would have easily won.
Jim: Nike Tiempo IV – Hands down. The 11pro now fails to measure up to its Nike counterpart since the latest update to the range. The tiempo has that air of quality to it that the 11pro fails to capture. It seems more like a half hearted attempt by adidas to update the much loved adipure range.
Tyler: Draw – Another difficult choice. The Tiempo line ranks in the top 3 boot-silos of all time in my opinion, but the adiPure 11Pro seems to take the heritage idea and meld it well with some new technology while still remaining very classy. You could go as far as saying that my opinion of the 11Pro is also slightly skewed by my experience with the Adipure III & IV. I have to give each brand props in keeping these lines consistently high in terms of quality.
Colin: Nike Tiempo IV- I have always had a soft spot for the Tiempo Legend series from Nike so this selection is simple. The leather is soft, the soleplate provides great comfort, and I think they are one of the most stylish boots on the market thanks to the large Nike check on both sides.
Ethan: Nike Tiempo IV – I never enjoyed the newer version of the 11pro. There was just too big of a change from adidas from a heritage standpoint and the comfort and touch for the Tiempo is practically unrivaled.
Richard: Nike Tiempo IV – Tiempo’s, there’s just something about them, from the stitching at the front to the feel of the leather.
Final Tally: adiPure 11Pro 1 – Tiempo 5
Congrats! Great article!
Having worn both the Tiempo and the adiPure 11 Pro, I have to say that the adiPure 11Pro is a great boot.. I would never compare it to the Tiempo though. I am happy the Tiempo is around because it retains the slightly more classic feel. I like both boots and can't pick one over the other. But I would say the for people wanting a more classic feel, go for the Tiempo. If you want a blend between modern and classic, then go with the adiPure 11Pro.
Also, In the Warrior vs. Nike matchup, I would take the Warrior. I have worn both and the Skreamer really surprised me. Plus the customer service at Warrior was second to none, making Nike's look almost un-professional.
I had problems with the stud pressure in the Tiempo's as well, glad to hear I'm not alone on that.
Yeah at the front of my right foot was very uncomfortable. The left slightly uncomfortable as well. I was very disappointed with the Tiempo.
How about comparing the Nike Tiempo IV to my son’s favorite boot, the Umbro Speciali 4 Pro HG?
In an A v B matchup. I'd choose the Speciali, purely on Umbro's history. The boots are very similar so the nostalgic in me HAS to go with the Double Diamond.
Speciali 4 all day long!!
with veloce vs f 30, I would rather buy an old pair of top end shoes.
what shoes should I wear if I am playing on a land with no grass on it????
Either Turf, HG or AG boots depending on how the ground is.
