Best XI by Brand – The Recap

Nike Puma or Adidas

When we started the Best XI by Brand Series, we had one thing in mind. To determine which brand was the best by their best eleven players. We have seen all three brands now and the players on them. Whether it be fiery Nike squad with a number of personalities, or the well established adidas squad with numerous caps between them, they are all three very good teams.

Before you vote make sure you look over the three teams one last time and read the quick summary.  It will help you decide which team is your personal favorite!

Team Adidas

Adidas Lineup

The case for Team Adidas: “This team is loaded with technical play makers that all are good passers. Their playing style would likely be picking apart the other team with crisp passes and the occasional ball over the top for their speedy wingers to collect. I feel that this is a solid all-around team that doesn’t have many weaknesses.”

Key Players:  The Adidas Best XI has superstar Lionel Messi and a number of other established stars including Casillas, Xavi, and Bale.

Team Nike

Nike-Best-XI

The case for Team Nike:This all star team would be able to play to each others strengths to dominate the game. For example, they could take advantage of how good Ibrahimović is in the air by whipping in crosses. They have some notable names in other spots but to be honest the midfield is the strongest part of this team. I feel that Nike’s Best XI would perform so well in the game because their midfield is virtually unstoppable.  And even if you found a way to take care of business in the midfield you would have 7 other players to take care of, making the Nike Best XI one hard team to beat.

Key Players:  Ronaldo leads this group, followed closely by Iniesta and young star Neymar.  However, don’t forget about the other players, it’s hard to pick favorites in their competitive group.

Team Puma

Puma Team

The case for Team Puma: I have to admit that I personally feel that Puma has a very strong group of players here – they definitely are a strong presence in the boot world and their players have a lot to do with that.  The Puma team has a lethal duo up front in Falcao and Aguero. With stars in a number of different leagues, the Puma Best XI would give teams a lot of trouble in the midfield.

Key Players: Legend Gigi Buffon anchors this team in goal, and they have a number of great play makers in midfield such as Reus and Fabregas. Also, their two up front (Aguero and Falcao) will make sure that the game is never scoreless.

  1. Who is the adidas GK?

  2. Casilias i see 🙂

  3. Tough one, Casillas or Neuer…

  4. If you look at the 3 teams, the players on each represent very similar styles of play.

Adidas is all graft, guile and getting things done.
Nike is all flair and attitude.
    Puma is all business.

  5. Cech for Adidas Gk

Sub Balotelli for Ibra on team Nike imo.

  6. They should really make this happen, it would be good exposure for the boots as well as some great recollection for charity! But then again i'm a dreamer!

  7. While I am an adidas and puma fan, I have to pick Nike’s line up because I am a center back. They have the best defensive lineup in my humble opinion. Although I am an attacking defensive player, so I guess the Adidas Squad would make sense for me in that respect. As far as Puma I think their midfield is amazing. Take nothing away from Nike’s though.

  8. how about wazza on team nike

  9. personally, i think that nike should be playing 3 defenders which would be getting rid of zabaleta and putting gotze into the team as an attacking mid behind neymar and ibra
🙂 but this is just my opinion!
